English: A soldier with the 4th Mechanized Brigade otherwise known as the 'Black Rats' is pictured taking part in a RSOI (Reception, Staging and Onward Integration) exercise having just arrived in Afghanistan.
Day 5 on the RSOI is a mock Patrol Base Exercise. The soldiers are split into multiples and have to practice all drills taught throughout the week in order to conduct a shura in the mock village of Wahim Kalay.
