Summary

Description
English: The Bitlis Castle cannot be overlooked, it domineers the centre. Its kernel is Byzantine, but it has been added to and changed until well into Ottoman times. In 1911 big parts were transported away, to be used as building material. Source: Knaurs Kültürführer (Dutch Edition). This is a computer-generated panoramic picture.
