English: A View of the Bishop's House with the Ruins as they appear in going down the Hill from the Upper to the Lower Town.
Français : Vue de l'évêché et des ruines de la ville, depuis la côte entre la haute-ville et la basse-ville de Québec.
Légende d'origine (voir les autres versions du dessin) : « Vue du palais épiscopal et de ses ruines, ainsi qu'elles paroissent en descendant à la basse ville. »
« Vue du palais épiscopal de Québec en 1759 par Richard Short à la suite du siège de la ville par l’armée britannique. Si les proportions et les détails du bâtiment sont plutôt justes, le tracé et l’emplacement de la côte de la Montagne sont erronés. Ce défaut serait vraisemblablement attribuable au graveur londonien qui a publié le dessin de Short en 1761.
