The World's Fighting Planes (William Green and Gerald Pollinger, McDonald: London 1954) used 55 Crown Copyright silhouettes provided by the Controller of H.M. Stationery. An acknowledgements section on page 6 of the book identifies them by page. This image is one of those and since the publication date is pre-1957 is in the public domain.
This is a retouched picture, which means that it has been digitally altered from its original version. Modifications: now proper png format: removing 14-fold (!) file size increase yet being of higher quality lossless. The original can be viewed here: Beech C-45 Expeditor silhouette.jpg: . Modifications made by Aaa3-other.
(also corrected that the source file cannot be in ccbysa and this one neither.)
