Nederlands: Gastmaal bij kaarslicht voor de Engelse koning Karel II in het Mauritshuis te Den Haag, 30 mei 1660, aangeboden door de Staten van Holland. Episode tijdens zijn verblijf in ballingschap in de Nederlanden. De koning zit rechts tussen zijn tante Elisabeth, koningin van Bohemen in (Haagse) ballingschap, en zijn zuster Maria Henrietta Stuart, prinses van Oranje. Op de voorgrond een jonge prins Willem III van Oranje, de latere stadhouder van de Nederlanden en koning van Engeland, Schotland en Ierland.
English: Banquet by candlelight for the English King Charles II in the Mauritshuis in The Hague, May 30, 1660, presented by the States of Holland. Episode during his stay in exile in the Netherlands. The king sits on the right between his aunt Elizabeth, exiled Queen of Bohemia, and his sister Mary Henrietta Stuart, Princess of Orange. In the foreground a young Prince William III of Orange, who later became stadtholder of the Netherlands and King of England, Scotland and Ireland.
Français : Banquet de chandelles pour le roi d'Angleterre Charles II au Mauritshuis à La Haye, le 30 mai 1660, présenté par les États de Hollande. Episode lors de son séjour dans l'exil aux Pays-Bas. Le roi se trouve à droite entre sa tante Elizabeth, reine de Bohême dans l'exil, et sa sœur Marie Henriette Stuart, princesse d'Orange. Au premier plan, un jeune prince Guillaume III d'Orange, qui devint plus tard stadhouder (gouverneur) des Pays-Bas et roi d'Angleterre, en Écosse et en Irlande.
Deutsch: Veranstaltungs bei Kerzenlicht für den englischen König Karl II. im Mauritshuis in Den Haag, 30. Mai 1660 durch die Staaten von Holland präsentiert. Folge während seines Aufenthaltes im Exil Regal in den Niederlanden. Der König sitzt auf der rechten Seite zwischen seiner Tante Elizabeth, Königin von Böhmen im Exil Regal, und seine Schwester Maria Henrietta Stuart, Prinzessin von Oranien. Im Vordergrund ein junger Prinz Wilhelm III von Oranien, der spätere Statthalter der Niederlande und König von England, Schottland und Irland.
