Description
English: This image shows hills of the Sawtooth Mountains of New Mexico underlain by reddish beds of the Baca Formation and capped by Dog Springs Formation. The Baca Formation is an Eocene formation laid down in the Laramide Baca Basin. The overlying Dog Springs Formation is an Oligocene volcaniclastic formation of the Mogollon-Datil volcanic field.
