Significant increase of USD M1 in May 2020 is due to an accounting rule change by the Federal Reserve.

Total gold mined estimated at 199,000 tonnes in August 2021. Yearly gold production volumes between January 2020 and August 2021 have been equally distributed per month on the respective year.
