Nederlands: Romeyn de Hooghe (1645-1708) graveerde omstreeks 1685 in opdracht van de uitgever Nicolaes Visscher II (1649-1702) een serie prenten van de beroemde tuin van Enghien, even ten zuiden van Brussel. Op deze prent zien we de buitenoranjerie van het Parc dEnguien waar veel oranjebomen waren geplant. Deze oranjerieen die veelal ook overkapt waren, werden veelal geassocieerd met de legendarische tuin van de Hesperiden, waar Hercules de gouden appels ontving als beloning voor zijn deugdzaamheid. Het is dan ook niet toevallig dat we verderop in de oranjerie het standbeeld van Hercules zien.; Cijfers (25-26) worden verklaard in een legenda onderaan de kaart. Rechtsonder N. Samen op 1 blad met L.
English: The print shows the complex of pleasure gardens of Enghien near Brussels. The plan is part of a series of prints commissioned by Nicolaes Visscher II (1649-1702) and engraved by Romeyn de Hooghe (1645-1708). This print shows the outsite orangery of the Parc dEnguien where orange trees were planted. Most orangeries were built over and were associated with the legendary gardens of the Hesperides, where Hercules received the golden apples as reward for his virtuousness. It is no coincidence that a statue of Hercules was erected close to the orangery.
