| Description |
English: Arndilly House The public road, which is also the route of the Speyside Way, goes right past the gateway to the imposing mansion of Arndilly, formerly the seat of the MacDowall Grant family. The original house was built in about 1750 on the site of an early kirk, and burned down 10 years later. It was rebuilt in 1770, remodelled by architect William Robertson in 1826, and again by Thomas Mackenzie in 1850. |
