Description
English: Apedale Valley Light Railway - part of the trains to the trenches display. Although this gala was not billed as trains to the trenches, this is part of the track laid for that event and a military person is in attendance. The big yellow locomotive is Hunslet Engine Co 4wDM of 1963 with a Perkins 3 cylinder diesel engine. Built as 2' 6" gauge for the Royal Naval Armaments Depot at Broughton Moor, it has been regauged to 2'. In the distance is Chaumon.
