Summary

Description
English: Schematic representation of a sagittal section through the human male and female genital organs. Homologous organs are shown in the same colour so that their anatomy can be compared. The sperm ducts (blue) and the fallopian tubes (pink) are not homologous, as the sperm ducts develop from the Wolffian ducts, while the fallopian tubes develop from the Müllerian ducts in the same way as the vagina and uterus. Both form the connection to the respective gonads.
