Description
English: The slumbering Atacama Pathfinder Experiment (APEX) telescope sits beneath reddened skies amongst the snow covered Chajnantor landscape. Snow not only blankets the ground, but also the many peaks that encircle the Chilean plateau which also hosts the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA).
