Description 20th century painting of the martyrdom of Bhai Mati Das (right), Bhai Sati Das (middle), and Bhai Dayala (left). Bhai Mati Das was sawed in two pieces, Bhai Sati Das was wrapped in cotton and burnt alive, and Bhai Dayala was boiled alive in a heated cauldron of water until he turned into a block of charcoal.
