Dezember 1997 fahren die Museumszüge wieder bis zur Bürstenfabrik Stützengrün, vor deren Hauptgebäude sich der ehemalige Haltepunkt Stützengrün befand, die heutige Endhaltestelle „Stützengrün“ . Als erster wiederaufgebauter Abschnitt vom Förderverein Historische Westsächsische Eisenbahnen ging am 22. Juli 1994 der Streckenteil Schönheide Mitte - Schönheide Nord in Betrieb. BR 99 582
