I was walking up to the junction when I heard this coughing and spluttering old engine and I thought "hang on a minute, that sounds like an interesting car". And lo and behold, this came around the corner with an elderly gentleman at the wheel. He then proceeded to thrash it out into the main road here, very slowly! Talk about being in the right place at the right time, 30 seconds either side and I would've missed it!
Well, it was a rather nice 1978 registered Colt Sigma (full name Mitsubishi Galant Colt Sigma GLX!) It was in such a great period brown colour, and the interior looked very brown too! I think it's fantastically good looking in that 70s Japanese way. It looked very well looked after too, and original, the plus side of OAP ownership. Good to see he intends to hold on to it, as it's taxed well into this year.
This is one of just four Colt Sigmas on the road, and two are on SORN.
