The HJ Holden was built from October 1974-July 1976.
The HJ was the first of three facelifts on the HQ shape, it got a squared off front with wrap around indicators front and rear.
The base model sedan was the Belmont, mid spec Kingswood and top was the Premier
Also available was the longer bodied Statesman, Wagon, Panel Van, Utility and One Tonner.
The sporty Monaro was available again, now only the GTS 2 and 4 door, the base Monaro coupe was discontinued, a few LS Monaros were made, but predominately it was the GTS, now only available with either the 185hp 253 or the 240hp 308 V8, the 6 cyl and the 350 V8 not available. It got full instrumentation and sports steering wheel, bucket seats, sports wheels, side guard vents and GTS grille. The HJ didn't get the paint outs, the HQ had but front and rear spoilers were an option
