The Leyland P76 was a large car that was produced by Leyland Australia, the Australian subsidiary of British Leyland, Built from 1973-75, It was direct competition for the Australian for the Ford Falcon, Holden Kingswood and Chrysler Valiant of the time.
Sedan only available in Deluxe, Super, Executive, Targa Florio, also 8 Force 7 Coupe Prototypes are around.
This is the mid spec Super, it got Bucket seats, carpet, woodgrain dash, full instrumentation and a 4 headlight front. (the top Executive got standard T bar, V8, power steering, cloth seats etc, most easily identified by the rubber bump strips on the bumpers).
Due to strikes and the oil crisis, Leyland Australia was in serious financial trouble, even before the P76 hit the showroom floors, it closed down in Oct 74
