| Description |
English: Side-by-side comparison of two versions of the Ford F-Series medium-duty trucks. Both are former U-Haul rental trucks, although this is more obvious with the one on the right. The one on the left is the fifth generation version made between 1967 and 1972, which in this case does not include a 1967 F-Series, because it has side-marker lights in the cowl insignia. The one on the right is a sixth-generation F-600 made between 1973 and 1979, although this one was much closer to 1979, because U-Haul began posting "Trim Line-Gas Saver" stickers on the hoods of their trucks during the late-1970's. As you can see, the differences between the 5th and 6th Generation medium-duty F-Series trucks are quite subtle compared to the 5th and 6th Generation light-duty F-Series trucks. Both trucks were on the property of the same garage on the corner of Florida State Road 50 and County Road 585 between Spring Hill, Florida and Brooksville, Florida. |
