All sheetmetal, except the doors, was changed for 1962, a more conservative looking car. 1963 and 1964 were just a mild facelifts, slightly different grille and bumpers. 1964 a softer look. Base model was still the Biscayne, mid spec: Bel Air and top the Impala with triple round tail lights (double on Biscayne and Bel Air). also Super Sport (SS) option.
The 1964 Chevrolet was available in Sedan, 2 and 4 door Hardtop Coupes and Wagon.
Engines; 235 6 cyl, 283, 327 and as this car has; 409 V8s.
Chevrolets were also produced in Australia from 1926-68, built by General Motors Holden using modified American bodies. In 1964, only the 4 door Chevrolet sedan was sold there, along side the 4 door Pontiac Parisienne Sedan
