The Type 35 was the most successful of the Bugatti racing models
The original Type 35 was introduced in 1924 with a 90hp 2.0 straight 8, 96 were made
The less expensive 1925 Type 35A, less maintenance but also less power, 139 were made
The 1926 Type 35C got a Roots Supercharger and 128hp, 50 made
For 1926, Bugatti introduced a special model for the Targa Florio race, called the Type 35T, displacement was up to 2.3 litre, only 13 made
The final version of the Type 35 series was the Type 35B of 1927, it shared the 2.3 L engine of the Type 35T but added a supercharger like the Type 35C. Output was 138 hp, 45 were made
A Type 35B won the Targa Florio in 1928, the French Grand Prix and the Monaco Grand Prix in 1929 and the Czechoslovakian Grand Prix and the Monaco Grand Prix in 1930
