Description
English: 12th Air Commando Squadron unofficial emblem. Previously used by 309th Air Commando Squadron Special Aerial Spray Flight. The green disc represents the jungle, while the brown bend sinister represents a defoliated strip. The Chinese ideograph for purple is on the bend. Purple was the generic name used by persons assigned to Project Ranch Hand to describe defoliants, and was the squadron color.
