Class 230 no. 230.096 belonging to ČD Cargo is stabled at the border station of Štúrovo on the main Budapest to Bratislava line.
Built originally by Škoda between 1967 and 1969 with distinctive wrapped round cab windows similar to the class 240. Back in the days of the Czechoslovakian State Railways they would take charge of trains in the southerly part of the country on lines electrified at 25kV. Upon splitting up, they all went to the Czech Railways (ČD) and in turn became part of the Cargo sector. As a result, they are found working through Slovakia through into Hungary.
