العربية: الحَفْصِيُّون أو بنو حَفْص سلالة أمازيغية مصمودية حكمت إفريقية ما بين 1229-1574م. استمدت التسمية من أبو حفص عمر (1174-1195م) أحد أجداد الأسرة ومن رجالات ابن تومرت الأوفياء. قام ابنه من بعده الأمير أبو زكريا الحفصي (1228-1249م) بالاستيلاء على السلطة وأعلن استقلاله واستطاع أن يؤسس دولة استخلفت الدولة الموحدية في المنطقة. قضى ابنه المستنصر (1249-1277م) على الحملة الصليبية الثامنة (سنة 1270)، ثم اتخذ لقب أمير المؤمنين. بعد وفاته تنازع أولاده الحكم. وجرت حروب طاحنة بينهم. في أواخر القرن ال13م انشق عن الأسرة فرعان، حكم أحدهما في بجاية والآخر في قسنطينة. في منتصف القرن ال14م استولى المرينيون على البلاد. بعد جلاء المرينيين استعادت الدولة الحفصية حيويتها مع حكم كل من أبو العباس أحمد (1370-1394م)، أبو فارس عبد العزيز (1394-1434م) ثم أبو عمر يحيى (1435-1488م). عرفت هذه الفترة الاستقرار وعم الأمن أرجاء الدولة. أصبحت العاصمة تونس مركزا تجاريا مهماً.
ابتداء من سنة 1494م بدأت مرحلة السقوط السريع حيث استقلت العديد من المدن والمناطق. منذ 1505 م سيطر الأتراك عن طريق قادتهم عروج وخير الدين بربروسة على المنطقة. حاصر الإمبراطور الجرماني كارل الخامس وملك إسبانيا كارلوس الأول تونس سنة 1535م. آخر الحفصيين وقع بين الضغط المتزايد من القادة الأتراك الذين استقروا في الجزائر من جهة والإسبان من جهة أخرى. سنة 1574م أفلح حاكم الجزائر في دخول تونس، تم خلع آخر السلاطين الحفصيين ودخلت بذلك تونس تحت سلطة العثمانيين. |
