Tahir Yazid Reid-Brown (born July 6, 2006) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Orlando City in Major League Soccer.

Club career
editOrlando City B
editReid-Brown joined the Orlando City Academy in 2020. After appearances for Orlando City's under-15 and under-17 sides, Reid-Brown joined Orlando City B in 2022. On August 7, 2022, Reid-Brown made his senior debut when he came on as a 81st-minute substitute for Andrew Forth in a 3–0 loss to Toronto FC II.[3]
On April 16, 2023, Reid-Brown made his first senior start in a 3–1 loss against Atlanta United 2 in which he was taken off in the 57th-minute for Ian Garrett.[4] Reid-Brown's performances throughout the 2023 MLS Next Pro season led to him being selected for the 2023 MLS NEXT All-Star Game.[5][6]
On October 20, 2024, Reid-Brown made his first playoffs appearance when he came on as a substitute for Luca Petrasso against Chicago Fire II in the 77th-minute. Reid-Brown successfully converted his penalty in the subsequent penalty shoot-out after the two sides drew 1–1, but Orlando City B would lose the penalty shoot-out 5–4.[7][8]

editOn January 23, 2024, Reid-Brown was signed to a four-year Homegrown Player contract through 2027, with a club option for extension into 2028, making him the 15th Homegrown Player in the club's history.[9]
International career

editOn October 25, 2023, it was announced that Reid-Brown was selected by United States U17 coach Gonzalo Segares to the 21-player squad for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup.[10] On November 15, Reid-Brown made his international debut when he started in the second group stage match against Burkina Faso, before he was taken off in the 57th-minute for David Vazquez, after which the game ended in a 2–1 victory and allowed the United States to advance to the knockout stage.[11]
On October 3, 2024, Reid-Brown was called up by United States U19 coach Michael Nsien for a training camp from October 7–15 in Valencia, Spain and friendly matches against Sweden and Japan.[12] Reid-Brown made his debut for the team when he came on a substitute for Harbor Miller in the 63rd-minute in a 4–1 win against Sweden on October 11.[13] On October 15, Reid-Brown made his first start for the soccer team against Japan, before he was substituted in the 62nd-minute for Paulo Rudisill in a 3–2 victory.[14]
