Inhaler edit

He met future Inhaler band mates, Elijah Hewson and Ryan McMahon, whilst they attended St Andrews College in Blackrock. They met Josh Jenkinson at a party, he then joined the band. Keating has said in an interview with BBC Music that 'we just hung out for a while and did what kids did, then started playing music, but we didn't have anyone who could play the guitar, then cue Josh.'

He has been the only bass player for Inhaler since they formed in 2012; originally as 'The Collapsible Chairs'. They later renamed to 'The Inhalers' and then 'Inhaler'. They have released two studio albums to date, It Won't Always Be Like This in 2021 and Cuts and Bruises in 2023. On It Won't Always Be Like This, he has his own solo song, titled 'Strange Time To Be Alive' where he plays the piano and also provides vocals.

Personal Life edit

Keating took a hiatus from the band whilst he underwent surgery to remove his appendix in 2021. Referring to this in an interview, frontman Elijah Hewson said the band 'couldn't function' without Keating.
