Carthage High School is a public high school located in the city of Carthage, Texas. It is part of the Carthage Independent School District located in central Panola County and classified as a 4A school by the UIL. In 2013, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.[2]

CHS-TV
The school has an award-winning audio visual productions department named CHS-TV. The program was founded in 1981 and is currently under the direction of Julie Patterson. Students produce content for the "Big Dawg" jumbo-tron at the football stadium, as well as productions for district-wide public relations.
