Capps Creek (Current River tributary)

Capps Creek is a stream in Ripley County, in the U.S. state of Missouri.[1] It is a tributary of the Current River.[2]

The stream headwaters arise just west of Missouri Route Y at 36°44′17″N 90°51′52″W / 36.73806°N 90.86444°W / 36.73806; -90.86444[1] at an elevation of about 580 feet[3] and it flows west then meanders south to its confluence with the Current at 36°42′45″N 90°53′26″W / 36.71250°N 90.89056°W / 36.71250; -90.89056 at an elevation of 358 Feet.[1] The confluence is about seven miles northwest of Doniphan.[4]

Capps Creek has the name of Nimrod Capps, an early settler.[5]
