Md. Anwarul Azim Anar (Bengali: মোঃ আনোয়ারুল আজীম (আনার)) is an Awami League politician and the incumbent Member of Parliament from Jhenaidah-4.[2]

Anar was born on 3 January 1968.[3]
Career edit
Anar was elected to Parliament on 5 January 2014 from Jhenaidah-4 as a Awami League candidate.[4] He is a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Shipping Ministry.[5]
Anar was re-elected to parliament in 2018 from Jhenaidah-4 as a Awami League candidate.[6] He received 226,396 while his nearest rival, Md Saiful Islam Firoz, received 9,506 votes.[6]
Anar was re-elected to parliament in 2024 from Jhenaidah-4 as a Awami League candidate.[7]
Anar went missing in India in May 2024 after he went for treatment in West Bengal.[8] The government of Bangladesh sought the support of India in finding Anar.[9]
