Re: External Link - Nikola Tesla, Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, Joseph Warren edit

Re your message: First off, let me take a moment to comment that I think it is great that you are using Wikipedia in your classroom. I recommend that you visit Wikipedia:School and university projects about how you can further integrate Wikipedia into your classroom.

As for the external links themselves, I think they are still problematic and should not be included even if your intentions are good. The external links contain very little information that is not already covered in the existing Wikipedia articles, so therefore I don't think item #3 as you quoted applies. With the website being about a book, the site exists mainly to promote the sale of the book, which is discouraged. While you may have no interest in the sale of the book, with the information being provided being so short in comparison to the Wikipedia article and the commercial focus of the website, I don't think the external link is appropriate. If you disagree, you are welcome to discuss the issue on the appropriate article talk page and discuss it with other interested editors. If a consensus is reached that the link is appropriate, then it can be re-added to the article. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:29, 17 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
