Speedy deletion of Buttsecks revolution edit

A tag has been placed on Buttsecks revolution requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. —Travistalk 23:06, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please stop removing the speedy deletion tag on pages that you create. This is not permitted. Leave the CSD box and your "hangon" and explain on the "talk" page why the article shouldn't be deleted. An administrator will make the final decision on notability or not. Thanks and happy editing. Merenta (talk) 23:15, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I disagree completely. i didnt know i was accidently removing the deletion tag i am sorry for that. i dont understand why i can't post my band on wikipedia if bands such as bloc party, the shins, and the beatles are posted Whhallwolf11 (talk) 23:29, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re your message: Your article was not deleted merely because it is a band, but because the band does not meet the notability requirements for musical acts for inclusion on Wikipedia. Please review the notability guidelines as your band would need to meet the requirements before the article is allowed to remain on Wikipedia. Thanks. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 23:32, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ok, i reviewed the guidelines and i understand your point. I think it is a rule that should be changed because high school bands that maybe aren't nationally known should be visible on wikipedia so people from their community where they are known can view a bio of this band with pride Whhallwolf11 (talk) 23:42, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
