Re: Cortland, Ohio edit

Re your message: Since you modified an anonymous IP's message, I believe you were the one who originally left me the message. If not, my apologies and you can ignore this message. I removed the Trivia section because it contained either non-notable, non-verifiable, or point-of-view information. All information on Wikipedia should contain notable, verifiable, and have a neutral point of view. For example, the information about the gas station selling beer is not notable, the Cortland Police being at the Speedway and curfew enforcement is not verifiable or rumor, and the China House is POV (unless perhaps it's the only chinese food place in town in which case it would be both the best and worst place to get chinese food in town). As for my changes to the introduction, it was done to make the flow of the article better instead of having several short paragraphs. -- Gogo Dodo 02:01, 26 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re your message: Please read over the policy on verifiability and reliable sources. In short, any information that is on Wikipedia must be verifiable by any other editor. If you can't back up your claims from a published work, then it should not be included on Wikipedia. I see that you have started to cite references for some of your inclusions and that's a good thing. As for my living in Cortland or not, that doesn't really matter (I don't if you're really curious). Like I said earlier, information must be backed up from a reliable source. I'm not trying to suppress your editing of the article, I'm just noting that if you can back up your claims, it would help prevent another editor from removing it using the same reasons that I did. You don't want cruft in the article as much as I do. -- Gogo Dodo 05:52, 26 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
