July 2010 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Curling, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Re: Curling edit

Re your message: Your reference also clearly contradicts your claim. If you look up a little from the text you are quoting, one of the navigation items says "About the Sport". If you click said link, the word "sport" is used in the description. If you have an issue with curling being labeled a sport versus a game in the Wikipedia article, I suggest that you take up the issue on the article talk page. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 21:50, 30 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Re your message: As I told you in my previous message, if you have an issue with curling being labeled a sport versus a game, then take it up on the article talk page. A past discussion on this issue had a consensus towards labeling curling a sport, but you are welcome to restart the discussion. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 18:57, 4 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
British Curling is the governing body for curling in the UK. Its website clearly states it is a sport, as does the Canadian governing body, the English governing body, the World Curling Federation, the New Zealand governing body, and the US governing body. I'd say that is game, set and match. --Biker Biker (talk) 19:30, 4 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
