July 2012 Study of authors of health-related Wikipedia pages

Dear Author/Phil Boswell

My name is Nuša Farič and I am a Health Psychology MSc student at University College London (UCL). I am currently running a quantitative study entitled Who edits health-related Wikipedia pages and why? I am interested in the editorial experience of people who edit health-related Wikipedia pages. I am interested to learn more about the authors of health-related pages on Wikipedia and what motivations they have for doing so. I am currently contacting the authors of randomly selected articles and I noticed that someone at this address recently edited an article on Hormone Replacement Therapy. I would like to ask you a few questions about you and your experience of editing the above mentioned article. If you would like more information about the project, please visit my user page (Hydra_Rain) and if interested, please visit my Talk page or e-mail me on nusa.faric.11@ucl.ac.uk. Also, others interested in the study may contact me! If I do not hear back from you I will not contact this account again. Thank you very much in advance. Hydra Rain (talk) 17:22, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

Thanks (CiteSeerX)

Hi. Thanks for a couple of recent changes I spotted relating to CiteSeerX. I don't use AWB and didn't know about the existence of {{citeseerx}} either. I'll bear it in mind for the future. -- Trevj (talk) 08:53, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

You're welcome. I've been saying for years that using templates to formulate external links is a good way of making sure those links are well-formed, not to mention easier to type ;-) AWB is a work of genius, and well-worth the trouble to get it set up right. —Phil | Talk 10:01, 19 July 2012 (UTC)
On this template, would it be better to name it {{CiteSeerX}} and redirect {{citeseerx}} to it (i.e. move the template and allow a redirect to be created), or should I redirect {{CiteSeerX}} to {{citeseerx}} instead? Thanks Rjwilmsi 07:05, 19 July 2012 (UTC)
Either way would work: although I think the move would be more elegant, it would incur the redirect (until somebody went through and short-circuited the existing usage—now there's a task to which AWB is perfectly suited…). I've been mulling over adding proper documentation to {{citeseerx}} but would by no means mind if somebody else beat me to it (hint, hint ;-) —Phil | Talk 10:01, 19 July 2012 (UTC)
