I am trying to find out why you have deleted my page when I have written the reason why it was incorrect to do so: This what I wrote:

'This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... (I am the co-author of the original article http://1943.pl/en/artykul/koza-part-3-to-pick-the-time-and-place-of-our-deaths/ and we are creating a page on wikipedia that covers the three articles from the same website but with references and links) --JSKutcher (talk) 22:31, 6 March 2022 (UTC)'Reply

Please restore the page or ask me further questions or verification that I am the author of the original item. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JSKutcher (talkcontribs) 22:31, 6 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for contacting me, Jeff. I can see from the article that you are indeed the co-author, however the website shows that the text is copyrighted ("© 2022") and there is nothing that I can find that shows that text can be re-used elsewhere. Please see Granting us permission to copy material already online which explains how to give permission to reuse the text. Basically you can either place a notice explicitly on the webpage/site showing that the text can be re-used, or you can send an email from the domain to wikimedia granting this permission. Once this has been done and verified, it is possible to recreate the article. Again, the "Granting us permission" section will explain all this. Koza article copyright infringement issue edit

1. Can you tell me what proof you require that the article I wrote is not a copyright infringement. The Warsaw Ghetto Museum support our work to write the article on Koza . They have seen the text of the article and it does not infringe their copyrights.

2. Another Wiki editor , Jimfbleak has the same issue . My question is how many other editors are there that could similarly delete the article in the future ?

Thank you

Jeff Kutcher

Hi Jeff, if you follow the link in my last message, you'll see there are two ways to show that we can use the material from the website here on Wikipedia:
  1. The website owners place a notice either on the page itself, or somewhere easily seen and linked to from the page, which states that the contents of the page are available under a suitable licensing such as CC-BY-SA (specific on suitable licensing is in the "Donating your material to Wikipedia" link above);
  2. An email from the domain that the Web page is on is sent to us giving that permission.
Until we either see a suitable notice on the page, or get an email from an address verified as being from the web page's domain, any posting of the material is subject to deletion by any admin - and repeated attempts could ultimately end up with a permanent ban on its creation. Please read "Granting us permission to copy material already online", which explains exactly how to do one of the above. Thanks PhantomSteve/talk¦contribs\ 00:59, 15 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
