Hi Nick,
I’m a random wiki user. In my church service this morning, the minister read a bible verse about Jesus crossing the Sea of Galilee. I was curious, so I opened it up in Google Earth. And then started trying to figure out the borders of Israel and Palestine. A friend from college actually taught classes in Israel and fell in love and married a lady from Palestine. They now live here just north of Tampa, with their first baby boy.
Clearly, you’ve spent a lot of time on Wikipedia. I was impressed by some of your statements and comments about people messing with your work. Is this common? do you find people coming in over and over again messing with things. I know Israel and Palestine are kind of a difficult subject. But overall do you find this encyclopedia and work effective in evolving the consciousness?
Obviously, you have found clear reason to spend a lot of time here. I’m impressed with your work, you’re doing a great job, and I encourage you to continue. I’m sorry if there’s a proper place to complement somebody’s work, that I haven’t found yet. There’s just so much data out here now, to keep track of things and follow correct procedures is such a challenge!
Do you personally encourage new editors? Have you created any training for new editors? Would you recommend this to other scholarly peers?
