Speedy deletion nomination of Molly Fers edit

A tag has been placed on Molly Fers requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb1 (talk) 23:27, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Re your message: I deleted the article because you did not establish why you are notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia per the notability guidelines. Per your request, I have restored the article to your user space at User:Molly5718/Molly Fers. You may work on it there without it being speedily deleted. However, if you intend for the article to remain on Wikipedia, you must establish why you are notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 00:21, 14 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Re your message: Unfortunately, no, you have not established why you are notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. Please read the notability guideline for what it means to be notable. The short answer you are notable if you have been the subject of published secondary source material which is reliable, intellectually independent, and independent of the subject. For example, if a multiple newspapers or magazines has written articles about you, then you would be notable. The current state of your article would not qualify you under the guidelines. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 04:07, 14 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Re your message: Yes, you need to provide links to articles that establish your notability. Unfortunately, the three links to the articles that you added, do not establish your notability. I really think that it would be best if you not attempt to write about yourself any further. I have re-deleted the article because I believe that you are providing too much personal information and that I do not think you will be able to establish your notability. I hope that you understand why I am doing this. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:06, 16 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Re your message: I will not call you Molly, though you do share the same name with your user account name and the article you created so it was a fairly good guess that you were the same person. Even if you are not the same person, I still believe that you would have difficulty in establishing Molly's notability per the notability guidelines for inclusion on Wikipedia. For Molly to be notable, the newspapers or magazine articles about her need to be substantial (in other words, mostly about her and her alone). The three articles you included were not substantial as they state that she received a local school award, which is not notable enough for Wikipedia. Sorry. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 04:18, 17 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
