Al-Bukamal protests

Excuse me, could you nominate Al-Bukamal protests protests for deletion? I don't know how. We got the same situation as the Homs article you nominated for deletion. Not verifiable (no sources) and not notable. Also, the article itself actually doesn't say anything except one sentence...The Al-Bukamal protests were part of the 2011–2012 Syrian uprising. Yes I have been here for a year and more now but I never examined the procedure on nominating something for deletion, I'm not familiar with that (never nominated something for deletion before). Thus I thought asking you, since you apparently also agreed on the need for verifiability and notability of a subject, would be the best course of action. Fine, I will try to deal with it. However, you could have simply said no. Instead, you said that you are suspicious of [my] motives. I found that statement rather borderline insulting and assuming bad faith of another editor without even talking to him. :( I don't know for what reason you were of that opinion. I only tried asking in good faith for some help on the issue. Instead of being hostile you could have just said you weren't able and explained to me how to do it myself. Thank you. Hi! Welcome to the fourth issue of The Tea Leaf, the official newsletter for the Teahouse!

• Teahouse pilot wraps up after 13 weeks After being piloted on English Wikipedia starting in February, the Teahouse wrapped up its pilot period on May 27, 2012. We expect this is just the beginning for the Teahouse and hope the project will continue to grow in the months to come!

• What you've all been waiting for: Teahouse Pilot Report is released! We look forward to your feedback on the methodology and outcomes of this pilot project.
• ....and if a pilot report wasn't enough, the Teahouse Pilot Metrics Report is out too! Dive into the numbers and survey results to learn about the impact the Teahouse has made on English Wikipedia.
• Teahouse shows positive impact on new editor retention and engagement

• 409 new editors participated during the entire pilot period, with about 40 new editors participating in the Teahouse per week.
• Two weeks after participating, 33% of Teahouse guests are still active on Wikipedia, as opposed to 11% of a similar control group.
• New editors who participated in the Teahouse edit 10x the number of articles, make 7x more global edits, and 2x as much of their content survives on Wikipedia compared to the control group.

• Women participate in the Teahouse 28% of Teahouse participants were women, up from 9% of editors on Wikipedia in general, good news for this project which aimed to have impact on the gender gap too - but still lots to be done here!
• New opportunities await for the Teahouse in phase two as the Teahouse team and Wikipedia community examine ways to improve, scale, and sustain the project. Opportunities for future work include:

• Automating or semi-automating systems such as invites, metrics and archiving
• Experimenting with more ways for new editors to discover the Teahouse
• Building out the social and peer-to-peer aspects further, including exploring ways to make answering questions easier, creating more ways for new editors to help each other and for all participants to acknowledge each other's efforts
• Growing volunteer capacity, continuing to transfer Teahouse administration tasks to volunteers whenever possible, and looking for new ways to make maintenance and participation easier for everyone.

Hi, Gtwfan52. Yes, please help! I'm floundering where I once thrived. I've started very few articles, and it seems that the citation style has gotten more difficult for me to handle over the last couple of years. Here are some reliable sources, I believe, that involve Shelli Yoder, but the first link is to the original article that that I attemped: [1] Primary field: [2] Same article with different title (and better source?) proving that it was picked up by the AP: [3] Results of primary by percentage: [4] (This info is probably available on a gov. source as well, and that would be more reliable.) Reliable, third-party source with brief facts about primary, bio, etc. [5]

Whitefish Bay National Forest Scenic Byway

Thank you for uploading the map, but I had to remove it from the article. FHWA created the map for their website, America's Byways, but the US Forest Service is the one that designated the byway. FHWA drew on the map that the byway extends eastward to I-75; the byway ends on the west side of Brimley at the boundary of the Ottawa National Forest. Some notes on Template:Wikify

Hi, I'm from WikiProject Wikify. It is our job to go through all of the articles tagged with {{wikify}} and wikify them. I've noticed you tagged Duck, North Carolina with a wikify tag, unfortunately this article is already wikified or another tag is more appropriate. The reason you tagged it incorrectly is probably due to the fact that it is not clear what the wikification process involves. Hopefully the following will give you some pointers for the future:

What Wikifying does

Wikifying an article involves 4 main things:

• Checking to see if an article duplicates existing information and tagging it with {{merge}} if it does.
• Checking an article for copyright violations and tagged with {{copyvio}} if one is found.
• Adding section headings and formatting the lead.
• Wikilinking the article.

What articles need wikification?

The best way to judge which articles need our attention is to look for the following pointers:

• Is the article divided into sections with appropriate links and section headers?
• Does the article have a lead paragraph with the title in bold?
• Does the article make adequate use of wikilinks to allow for easy navigation of the encyclopedia?

If the answer to any of these is no, add {{wikify}}

If the article is obviously a copyright violation (see Wikipedia:Copyright for details or use copyscape to check the article) then tag it with {{copyvio}} - there is no need to tag it for wikification.

What wikification does not do

We do not:

• Rewrite articles with bad grammar, punctuation or bad English - that is a job for cleanup or copyediting; use {{cleanup}} or {{copyedit}} instead
• Categorise articles - use {{uncat}} instead
• Find sources for articles with none - use {{unsourced}} instead.
