Speedy deletion nomination of BizziBiz edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on BizziBiz requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 17:12, 21 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Re your message: The article was not deleted because the company is "new", the article being promotional, nor is the company being "blackballed". The article was deleted because you did not establish why it is notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. You may recreate the article if you can provide the necessary citations from reliable sources establishing its notability. Please also see the Business' FAQ for answers to common questions about company articles. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:09, 24 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
The issue is not that your franchise does not exist as I have no doubt that it does. The issue is all about notability. As I stated earlier, all articles about companies need to meet the notability guidelines. If you look at List of franchises, you will see that all of the listings have a link to an article about the company, therefore all of the articles should meet the notability guidelines. Some "List of..." articles will have a note to only include notable individuals, companies, locations, etc., but not all do. You should not re-add your franchise to List of franchises until you have an article about it that is acceptable because another editor is likely to remove the entry without an article.
As for your question about the Franchising article, you are welcome to make changes to it though you will want to keep in mind Wikipedia's "Five Pillars" and your potential conflict of interest when editing related articles. If you are proposing a major rewrite of the article, you might want to discuss the issue on the article's talk page at Talk:Franchising before you do so. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 16:34, 24 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
