OK. I admit I first and foremost checked whether the user had contributions, not so much the contents of the page. There has been a couple of cases where the U5 criterion has been used on users who seem to have more than "little or no" contributions. The G3 might have been more fitting though. Hi :) I was a bit surprised to see that you'd removed the notability tag and speedy request from Paulo Gali, without explaining why (the edit note merely says 'cleanup'). If you thought the speedy was heavy-handed, by all means object, but please at least give your reason so others (myself included) can learn from you. As for notability, I still think that's borderline at best: I don't know if any of the (few) matches this chap has appeared in satisfy the FIFA 'Tier 1' requirement in WP:NFOOTY, but even if they do, that surely doesn't guarantee notability, only creates presumption in favour of it. The sources aren't entirely convincing, either - they don't even agree on his birth date - so I'm really not sure from where in your view the notability derives so clearly. It is common practice for players that will soon meet Wikipedia guidelines. See the page history of Victor Boniface or Egil Selvik, for instance. The Latvian league, where Offor has played so far, is part-amateur. See for instance this: [1] You have included coverage about him, which is good, it seems WP:ROUTINE so it alone can't get him back in mainspace. But the page has not been deleted, just stored. I don't know what you are trying to insinuate with that comment at my AFD. I have a problem with people trying to promote the subject with sentences like "he has an accomplished international career in space, with more than three decades of combined work experience". I have a problem with people using Facebook as a source for a non-notable award. That article is more of a glorified CV than an encyclopedia entry. As a Wikipedia editor, you should look at the article history and check which editor's only edits were to promote the subject and not which editor is trying to keep the encyclopedia free of PR junk. • @Rosguill, I found the criterion I was thinking of: WP:SPORTCRIT. It includes athletes that have "participated in a major international amateur or professional competition at the highest level". Athletics is a very heterogenous sport. The road race circuit (marathons) is probably the most professionalized. Athletes up to and including the Diamond League circuit are semi-professional, and on top world level there is also a very large number of college students (in the US), who are amateur by definition. Either way, it's the highest level of the sport that counts. Athletes' performances can vary greatly year by year, and as such the "highest level" is not a single event like the quadrennial Olympics, but the top competitions in each and every year. According to the easy-to-measure quality mark of performances, the European Championships holds the highest level of all non-worldwide events. In addition to this, prolific high-level competitors at Central American, South American, African and Asian level are presumed to meet WP:GNG in their countries, also taking WP:Countering systemic bias into consideration. I see you are PRODding a lot of marginal articles but for some reason, you are not posting notices on the talk page of the page creator informing them. Twinkle should do this automatically whenever you use it to tag a page for deletion. It makes the process very easy. I think it's a nice courtesy to notify a page creator when an article they have created has been tagged for deletion. The massacre article hasn't had a significant edit in 9 years, so you can be bold and carry out the merger. What you do then, is to copy-paste the valuable information into the biography. Per WP:FPL the Norwegian men's top flight is only listed as 'fully professional' from 2001. Although I suspect this is quite generous and the actual cut-off should be later - do you happen to know the relevant date? If so you could add it (with evidence) to the discussion. Which discussion? The cutoff would be around the transition from "1. divisjon" to "Eliteserien" in the early 1990s. On the other hand, it is true that the league did not have such as level of professionalism in the 1980s, but the more prolific players would meet WP:GNG. Systematic PROD of Geographic Features

I'm seeing a lot of lakes, mountains, etc especially in New York and elsewhere in the USA with PROD from you. In most of these cases the entity is recognized and named tracked by the USGS thus instead of deletions they should be redirected to articles and lists for the region according to WP:GEOLAND. These all should be suggested to merge for consolidation rather than proposing deletions as that fits more with the Gazetteer and the objectives of the respective geographic Wikiprojects. I've systematically been tagging the articles for visibility in their respective feature and region WikiProjects projects to bring better attention to their existence to start and working on a strategy for WikiProject Lakes which could be replicated in other features, but I need to write this up for sharing. I could therefore understand closing as "merge", but now we are left with a redirect to an article with no mention of Sebastian Montoya.

• I did it as an WP:ATD after both had said delete, as a redirect in effect is a deletion of tha page, but without the article history and content being lost. Please do not add nonexistent, red link categories to pages as you did on Category:US Chaouia managers and other categories. According to WP:REDNO, there should be no red link categories unless you are going to immediately create that category (A page in any Wikipedia namespace should never be left in a red-linked category. Either the category should be created, or else the non-existent category link should be removed or changed to one that exists.}. Hi, June 2, KOAD-LP was nominated for deletion. On June 24, it was closed as a Keep and immediately listed at DRV (that was a mess of a nightmare). So, with a 3-1 Keep !vote, it was relisted at AfD, two more Keep !votes have been added since it's relisting. It's clear, at this point, this is a SNOW Keep.

Empty categories

Hello, Geschichte,

I noticed you recently deleted some empty categories. Could you instead tag them as CSD C1 empty categories instead of deleting them straight-away? I don't know the situation with these particular categories but often categories are temporarily empty. I'd say of the empty categories I tag each day, 5-10% are not still empty a week later, they need to be untagged and aren't deleted. Of course, if these are page creations of a vandal or blocked editor, take action. But otherwise, it doesn't hurt the categories to sit for a week just in case they don't stay empty. Hi Liz. The categories you nominate on my talk page, are blank because someone vandalizes the articles where I put the categories in the first place. The categories I deleted, were blanked after a discussion which at WT:WPF (maybe archived now) and which transplanted to the creator's talk page.

FYI, I've started a general discussion about assistant manager positions at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football#Assistant positions in infoboxes. And it wasn't a "blatant misuse of rollback"- I was going to partial self revert to add back the good part of the content anyway, but was easier for me to revert all then re-add the good bits back (because the infoboxes are fiddly). I believe there is consensus against adding assistant manager roles (but we'll see the outcome of the discussion), and nevertheless the years added were wrong, as he was appointed in December 2019. Deletion of Dorset & Wilts 2 Central

Hello - you have deleted "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Dorset_%26_Wilts_2_Central" which I created recently. The reason given is that it doesn't have sources / references but there is a hyperlink on the page to the RFU Results website which shows this league exists and the teams involved etc. The only began in September so it is new - there are no previous winners or other third party information sources - this is community rugby in England, it doesn't get articles on well known websites or media attention. I don't know how else to prove it's genuine. The https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_rugby_union_system page includes dozens of pages identical to this one, the only difference is most leagues have been in existence for some time. I think you should start the article from scratch. The consensus in the deletion discussion was that the current sources were spammy, so I don't think that version should be reinstated even in draftspace. Try forgetting about the WP:PUFFERY achievements, Guinness Records and World Championships of Public Speaking, and see if there is something more substantial that Avery is known for. Can you for instance find reputable reviews of his books? If you have a hard time finding reliable sources, though, maybe it's a sign that Avery is not ready for Wikipedia? It's a peculiar custom at Wikipedia, and I totally get that it looks strange to those who are not so immersed in the lingo. The ! at the start of a word is a mathematical expression I believe, and thus !vote means non-vote. It's written like that because AFDs are not a vote, but the discussions are nonetheless stylized somewhat like a vote. The outlining of words such as delete and keep is done for statistical purposes, bots collecting data and whatnot. That being said, when someone nominates an article for deletion, this is counted as a delete opinion/iteration/stance, and should not be repeated below. (An exception exists for "procedural nominations", mostly done on behalf of someone else.) Further opinions/replies from the nominator, which are always welcome in a discussion, should be marked as a comment/reply. Geschichte (talk) 09:55, 9 November 2021 (UTC)

I don't see how G. A. Campbell (disambiguation) qualifies as a G14 CSD. There were three entries on the page. One had been deleted at AFD and became a redlink, but that still left two valid bluelinks.
