Deleting my link edit

If you're going to delete my link, why don't you remove the Tom's Hardware link also?—Preceding unsigned comment added by Annsilverthorn (talkcontribs)

Because I didn't notice it. There are tons of inappropriate links. A lot get ignored because no one sees them. When we see someone engaged in wholesale addition of links, we're far more likely to remove them all en masse. Fan-1967 19:06, 22 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

What the hell? edit

I worked hard on that page. I just want people to be able to find my site. A address on a sub-domain like comcast is nearly impossible to remember. This really pisses me off. Did you even take a look at http://home.comcast.net/~pointlessweb ?!? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pointlessweb (talkcontribs)

I took a look at it. Agree with Fan-1967 110%. Doesn't belong on Wikipedia. That your subdomain is difficult to find is not our problem. I suggest you try to raise the $8 to buy a domain name. Caper13 18:29, 26 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Seed Forum... edit

There have been several articles in the press. At October 5, 2006, there where a four pages article in Dagens Næringsliv (The largest business magazine in Norway). Dagens Industri had a large article in May 2006 from the event in Karlstad. You will also find several articles in Morgonbladet in Iceland etc.

It was created by complete mistake, really there should be an easier way to delete these things. Revolutionfan

The stefan faison article edit

The reason why I added this page was because he has a page on IMDb, so i thought made him notable. I did not create the page and in no way is affiliated with him. But, I guess if hes not notable enough for him than you can delete the page, I'm NOT a vandaliser. As you can see, from the article for the Prom Wars movie that you guys didnt even have! You seme to call out my mistakes, and not even take notice of my good deeds.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Princessdiaries111 (talkcontribs)

Creating an article with a blatant lie in it is not remotely a good deed. Are you under psychiatric care? Because if you believe that was a good deed you certainly should be. Fan-1967 21:58, 26 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Actually, no I'm not..but I think someone who spends all day on Wikipedia, should seek some!—Preceding unsigned comment added by Princessdiaries111 (talkcontribs)

Never fails. Whenever some blatant hoaxer gets caught in lies they always attack the editors who caught them. Fan-1967 22:05, 26 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Um..ok, I didnt get caught in anything, and I didnt "attack" you, I just responded to your post of saying I'm receivcing psychiatric care (which came out of nowhere).

No it didn't. If you thought creating a dishonest article was a good deed, there's something very wrong with you. Fan-1967 22:10, 26 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

sorry edit

i just wont create any more pages, for example i cleaned up (to a great extent) the Nancy Drew article, and created a great article for Prom Wars..didnt you even notice that? I'm new here, and I dont exactley know all the rules (but i'm reading them now).—Preceding unsigned comment added by Princessdiaries111 (talkcontribs)

The rules aren't hard. If Stefan Faison is an unknown 13-year-old who's never been in a movie, you don't create dishonest articles claiming he's been in movies. Considering how long this has been going on, and how many times you've repeated it, playing innocent doesn't become you. Fan-1967 22:04, 26 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wow...

Prom Wars edit

Also, if you search "Prom Wars" you'll see many results stating changes in casts that are not listed, so its a possibility, that you really cant prove is false.

I don't have to prove it's false. Before you post it, you have to prove it's true. You've been told this repeatedly, so stop acting ignorant. Fan-1967 22:09, 26 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

User:Beccaboo 06 has constantly used Wikipedia has a chatting source. This user has vandalized (and possibly even created) user pages, and talk pages. I saw your post on her talk page warning her, so I thought you could help. I would put it on WP:AIV, but she has no final warning (and hasn't vandalized after it) which is required for posting vandals on that page. RobJ1981 18:21, 28 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

this is not a joke edit

Hunty scaff is actually a folk story but only a brief summory and i hope you will realize that because it doesn't exist in any history books does't mean it isn't part of history. This story is an example of a story passed on by word of mouth and somehow has never bin corrupt by computers and is more locally known than other folklore.

I hope i have showed you that this is not simply an attempt to be funny or childish but simply i am trying to share a folk story since it is not very well known.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Mooey2 (talkcontribs)

Even if the story of how he raised a family with a gay gazelle is true, it may not be kept unless Verifiable from Reliable Sources. Those rules are quite firm. Fan-1967 04:52, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

The reason that there is no source is because it is folklore. Passed by word of mouth from one to another. It may or may not be true as with all folklore but deserves a place in wikipedia.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Mooey2 (talkcontribs)

Much folklore has been recorded and published. Looks like this hasn't. The rules above haven't changed. Fan-1967 05:02, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ok, i will attempt to find a book at my library and site it so that you can aprove it as verifiaable information. If i Can find this then will It be allowed?

Did you read the definition of Reliable Sources? If, for example, you say you found a book, but I can't find a copy to check it, it would be about the thirtieth time someone has tried that argument. If it's a recognized piece of folklore, it's somewhere accessible. If it's total nonsense, which is pretty likely considering there have never been gazelles (gay or otherwise) in North America, then your claim of finding a book will carry zero weight. • Delete His radio show is on something called the GCN Network (no wikipedia article) which is a tiny internet/satellite radio broadcaster. Browsing the company's webpage [1] it looks like the whole radio network has ten employees and the website gets about 3000 visits per day. It looks like they have 12 shows so the number of listeners to this guys show is probably miniscule (say 300 per day). That sounds like the equivalent of public access TV. Democrat Party edit

Back in June, you participated in a wiki discussion about deleting an article called “Democrat Party (United States).” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Democrat_Party_%28United_States%29). It was agree to delete this article and redirect it to Democratic Party (United States) -- the real name of the Democratic Party. However, someone has revived the Democrat Party article. Would you care to weigh in on this at that article’s Talk page? I think a redirect is in order in accordance with the decision we reached last June.

It's garbage/vandalism. Based on gsearch, seems to be a user name in some sites or forums, so might be vanity. Regardless, looks like we need to salt the page because he'll just create different user names to repost it. This isn't the original author ID. Fan-1967 18:53, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I agree with you. I thought it was the original author ID, but did not pay close attention. Am I being paranoid, or is this all getting a great deal more difficult? It seems everyday the amount of garbage just grows and grows. ---Charles 19:18, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

It never occurred to me to give him the credit---or blame, as it happens. The damage is done. The question I hear a lot of people asking is, How do we fix this without fundamentally altering the theory and beliefs upon which this site operates? ---Charles 22:58, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
It's not just him. It's partially just getting better known. It's also that, based on what I'm seeing, a lot of kids ae sitting bored in a classroom with a PC and an internet connection. I'm almost tempted to say we should block edits from identified school IP's. Fan-1967 23:00, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
I like this last idea. Or, begin a campaign to make schools aware of what their students are doing. Convince them that using and editing Wikipedia can be good for education, and that, conversely, vandalizing the site hurts a lot of people. Any chance that would work? ---Charles 05:02, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Adding resource links edit

Links have been added to an informational resource site no less valuable than http://www.imdb.com/ which has commericial advertising present and is presently linked from thousands of wikipedia pages. No harm is intended.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Christopher70 (talkcontribs)

A prior precedence exists edit

A prior precedence exists whereby fansites for instance appear as links in the external links sections of thousands of wikipedia pages for example http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ali_G Such sites contribute links to factual audio interviews and are in no way dissimilar to links I have added. If there is a certain subject matter that is deemed beyond the scope of this use, let me know and I will happily comply. This is not my company, that assumption is incorrect.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Christopher70 (talkcontribs)

Yeah, remarkable isn't it? Someone who has never edited Wikipedia before starts creating dozens of links to a single website, and does nothing else, but has no connection to that site. Amazing how frequently that happens. Fan-1967 18:39, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Weren't you the one who said that Raag Yaman is not plageurism. Sorry, but you posted on the Raag Yaman Article that you think it is plageurism.

First of all, the word is "plagiarism". Second, I never said that. It's copied from a geocities.com page. Fan-1967 05:56, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, but isn't it you who said Please do not accuse someone of plagiarism unless you (a) learn how to spell it, and (b) provide citations to support the accusation. -- Fan-1967 18:38, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

While you're looking up "plagiarism" you might also want to look up "citation". And on Raag Yaman you said "It was plagiarism and a copywight violation last time. Still is. Stop it". (By the way, you misspelled copyright)

I didn't say it wasn't plagiarism. I said don't make the accusation without citation. See, your problem was (a) you still haven't learned how to spell it, and (b) you didn't find the citation. I found where it was copied from. That's the difference. Fan-1967 06:04, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • Nice work, Sade. You managed to get hoax information into IMDB. Of course "attached" on a movie that has completed filming makes no sense whatsoever. He was either in it or not. Fan-1967 21:13, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

"Since this project is categorized as being in production, the data is subject to change...". -IMDB It doesent matter what your opinion is, the proof is in the pudding, and can you PLEASE stop accusing me of making this whole thing up, I'm just trying to make Wikipedia articles more accurate.

Plus, I didnt add himt o the cast list, he's on the cast list beause I had my facts straight.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Princessdiaries111 (talkcontribs)

You don't seem to be reading that right. That's the official disclaimer that says IMDB doesn't vouch for the accuracy of any of it, and may change or remove it later. In other words: not a reliable source. I dropped them a little note; we'll see if the credit's still there in a few weeks. However, if you want to resurrect the article, the place to file an appeal is at Wikipedia:Deletion Review. Of course, remember that everyone there will also have access to see all your lies about Nancy Drew, so your credibility may be an issue. Fan-1967 21:26, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
If IMDB removes the credit next week, will you admit it's a hoax? Fan-1967 21:29, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Um...If IMDb removes it, then it'll just be gone..I wont lose any sleep over it. But, most likely you wont and you waisted allt his time having so much towards this actor that you dont know.

And most likely never will know, unless by some miracle he actually is in a movie someday. Since you already lied about Nancy Drew, I'll just continue to assume every word from you is a lie. I'll believe he's actually in Prom Wars the day it comes out, and I see a credit on the screen. Fan-1967 21:32, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wow...whats your proof that hes not in a movie? Some kid came on an encyclopedia site and said he was in a COMPLETELY different movie, but some guy couldnt prove he wasnt, but the other couldnt prove he was? Yeah, thats really going wow them. But, probably the person that told IMDB about him, had better proof than I did, and thats why they found out he was atually in the movie. And, ya..why would I care what YOU think about me. 1: I dont even know you, and 2: For all I know your probably some creep online (I'm not insulting you, I'm just saying). Also....Does Wikipedia even pay you to spend so much time of your life on here? This is the quetion that haunts me (ha ha).

Good luck with that deletion review. Fan-1967 21:39, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Answer this: What proof do you have, that says hes NOT in the movie. Because th proff that i have that he IS in the movie, is him being on the castlist, so...

You don't have proof, because IMDB says "the data is subject to change". They don't vouch for it until the movie comes out. My proof is that you're not the first hoaxer we've seen here, and you perfectly fit the pattern: you try one lie, get caught, change the story. Also, even young actors just starting out show up in movie sites and forums all over the web. He doesn't. Fan-1967 21:45, 1 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

OK, Anyway, hes on the castlist, you can take him off Wikipedia and I really dont care. I have a life, so I'm atualyl gong to get off the computer (you should try it too). Hae a good weekend.

Hello, the page I brought up for deletion, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_stone, does not necessarily need to be deleted I suppose, but the problem is that when you search for "don stone" it brings up that page and not the one actually being worked on, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Stone. It was my intention to re-format the information into a format used in many similar articles, and I have now done so. Double Surprise edit

Hi there. After your accusation at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Polar_Design that I was operating an WP:SPA I naturally thought I'd check out your logs and talk page, since some of the other editors who voted Delete have a history of disruptive deletion. However, I've actually found that a lot of your edits and interactions have been fair and balanced, and I'm impressed at how you have treated obnxious behavior (i.e., with warnings, patience, etc.).
Therefore, I'm doubly surprised, due not only to the above, but to the fact that you haven't afforded the full deletion thread referenced above the attention it deserves and that you've demonstrated you're capable of providing. Again, I don't dispute your opinion on notability, but I do think that jumping to conclusions based on thin premises rather than the actual facts when making accusations like WP:SPA is an unfortunate turn given your otherwise exemplary editing.
Thanks for your time, and stay well. Endless blue 03:37, 4 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Certainly appropriate, though I guess if the user takes the tag off we have to go to MFD just like with articles.

Which is probably how it should be, since PROD is for uncontested deletions (as almost all of them will turn out to be, I suspect, since almost all of them appear to be hit-and-run postings). At least the objection would be a sign that they're still around. Who knows? Maybe it would motivate some actual edits. --Calton | Talk 05:23, 4 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re: BH Photo Video edit

We understand your concerns of Wikipedia becoming a venue for advertising, and thereby diminishing it's value. This is not our intention at all, and we apologize if it came across as such. We feel that as one of the world’s largest camera stores, and a company that is constantly in the news, especially in photo related publications, it does serve the interest of Wikipedia to have us listed as well.

B&H has been featured in the New York Times on numerous occasions (June 19 2003 issue to name one such date), New York Post (August 22nd, 2003 and Nov 19th 2005), The New York Magazine (April 24th 2006) and the Rolling Stone Magazine. We have also been featured in such international news forums as the Dagbladet.no (a popular Norwegian newspaper) and Ziff Davis Media called us one of the worlds largest photo stores, and a site "well worth visiting" (August 29, 2005). When you mentioned you were from Chicago it reminded me that I actually do know a Chicago camera club that uses us frequently. The Chicago Area Camera Club Association (chicameraclubs.org), link to us and have been shopping by us for years.

Since moving to out current location, B&H has worked closely with the New York City Visitors Bureau, and have even founded our own tourism department to help the over 1.5 million tourists we accommodate annually. It has gotten to the point where we have become an integral part of many tourists visit to the Big Apple. We co-market ourselves closely with the empire state building, Waterway, Circle Line, Madame Tussauds, City Sites and Skyride to name a few of our tourism partners. It is not uncommon to have visitors in our store who have no intention on actually purchasing anything, but come merely to observe our unique store experience. We also have travel trade shows to make tour operators from around the world become aware of B&H as an added value to their clients. In fact many European travel guides list us and even add "do not miss B&H".

TV stations use us as a unique destination, and human interest story. Just the other day we had visitors from UK iTV, the largest TV station in the UK, do a feature on us as a great shopping destination. We also have a 60 Minutes special airing this year pre Chrismas, as well as a similar piece done by a German TV station, which will discuss our Global following.

I apologize for seemingly spamming your site with our information. We were happy with the original write-up that was on the site, written by a customer not by our company, and the only reason we attempted to add another entry was to expand the write up to include our pro audio area.

I hope we haven’t caused you too much trouble, and that this clears up any confusion we may have caused.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Mosherosen (talkcontribs)

Excuse me but I don't appreciate the deletion of a page I just created. I still have support for my page. Also I have just looked at the xbox page and realized that it indeed has incorrect information. If you don't believe me just look at it under the "Modding" section. One instance is that you don't need a soldering iron to flash the TSOP on a xbox v1.0 - 1.5 as stated in the page. I still don't believe it is fair others can post false information while I can't post a page about a real person which I can backup, and there believe's. If you don't believe me about the xbox page just take a look at the xbox-scene.com webpage. One of the most reliable page's on xbox information beside's Microsoft's website which doesn't include information on the process of "modding" a xbox. I am starting to believe this is very unfair treatment.

Actually Fan-1967 that was replying to my problems on the talk page of the page I created. And this is how i thought I could contact him sent I pressed the link that referred to sending him a message. If I am wrong for sending him a message then excuse me. Ace 012 22:29, 8 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Probably, based on what I've heard. Marketing and self-promotion is the one thing we're always watching out for here. It's not remotely what we want. The goal is a community project encyclopedia with all the standards of impartial, encyclopedic, neutral content you would expect from Britannica. Fan-1967 05:59, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Vanity articles edit

You call it vanity, I call it self-promotion. I have discovered in the 16 some-odd laborous years of working as news hack ... we are mostly under appreciated, overworked and underpaid. And, if we don't toot our own horns (pardon the cliche), no one else will.

I am hardworking, humble, and I deserve the recognition for a long-standing career of excellence that has gotten little in the way of recognition.

Now, if I am not "notable" enough now ... don't worry, I will be.

Soon.

Just keep an eye out.

BTW, Despite the tone of the message, I am not particularly upset about this. Assertive, yes. Upset, no. Life is too short. And, besides, my time will come.

Thanks,

kpb —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Leslie Brown (talkcontribs) 06:04, 11 December 2006 (UTC).Reply

Actually, lately Wikipedia has switched to the more generic Conflict of Interest rather than vanity or self-promotion. Regardless of the term, it's just not consistent with trying to create impartial encyclopedic content. I understand you want to promote yourself. I just don't like to see it done here. So, what would it take? edit

What are you looking for in an entry on Wikipedia? If you citations of thousands of articles I've written, internationally radio broadcasts I've done ... I believe I am notable. So, what does it take to get you guys to agree with me? Would you prefer I hire someone impartial to write it up?

Thanks,

kpb

Well, first of all, if you hire them, they wouldn't be impartial. (There's a number of people who seem to be in the business of writing promotional articles on people for Wikipedia. It's amazing how bad most of them are. Don't waste your money.) The main thing that determines Notability under Wikipedia terms is not what you write, but what others write about you. This is not encouraging. Because the main thing needed is external sources, and you don't seem to have them, at least not under your real name. I have no idea if your pen name is more notable. Articles edit

Actually, I am a big fan of Wikipedia and wouldn't mind volunteering to write some impartial articles of my own. I am a news "guru" of sorts and I could write any number of generic articles pertaining to news gathering, the broadcasting industry, etc.

I'm also a history buff and I am quite well-read on a number of topics. What can I do to be useful?

Thanks,

kpb

Actually, a lot of people get started just by browsing articles in their interest, seeing where there are gaps in them, or they see something that makes them think of a subject that needs an article. Sometimes it's just fixing typos or bad grammar you happen to notice. Or you can just click the "Random article" link on the left a few dozen times and get some ideas. Edit edit

I edited the article to one paragraph.

How's that?

That is actually much better, but we still have problems with, not only the Notability issue (which may have some subjectivity), but with our #1 unbreakable rule, Verifiability. As for the notability, generally a local news radio reporter doesn't cut it. Most of the people I listen to every day do not merit articles. As for the verifiability, "published extensively" where? Verified how? Fan-1967 06:30, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

yo edit

whatdaya think?

Still the problem with external sources (there are none) and the nature and notability of the publications. It is a much better article, but lacks anything to establish the subject as notable. Fan-1967 06:46, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

published extensively edit

I have written probably a thousand + articles published in small-town daily newspapers, most notably the Cleburne Times-Review and the Weatherford Democrat. As for my pen name, the reason I write under a pen name is because I don't want it to be recognized by the corporate types that run newsradio these days who may call it a conflict of interest. Truth be known, my first love is writing. So, revealing my pen name is not worth an article on Wikipedia. If I did, that would probably validate the whole "notability" thing. Of course, once the book is published, ... the aforementioned pen name will be a moot point because at that point, I won't even sort of care.

As for the local reporter thing, we're talking about Dallas, Texas, not Butte, Montana. Dallas is market number 5 which is about to become market number 4 thanks to the population boom and that means my fellow reporter hacks and I are often on national radio covering everything from Exxon-mobile quarterly earnings meetings with stockholders where a bunch of people wearing only barrels and yelling "DON'T FUND JUNK SCIENCE" damn near started a riot and I covered the whole President Bush thing when he was here trying to get our Republican governor re-elected. I interviewed him for the first time when he was running for governor of Texas and I was an intern. Working in Dallas means I have gotten to interview folks such as Madeline Albright, Pres. Clinton, former VP Al Gore, Senators Kay Bailey Hutchison (we call her "Kay Baby") and John Cornyn. I've interviewed Bob Dole, John McCain, former Senator Phil Graham ... blah blah blah ... and, I once even got to stick my mic in the face of Sen. Ted Kennedy.

It was a hoot.

So, does this make me notable??? Dunno. I would love to see not only me, but some of my fellow hacks get some recognition for what they have done. It's a brutal business and I know a lot of people I certainly consider noteworthy. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Leslie Brown (talkcontribs) 06:46, 11 December 2006 (UTC).Reply

The fact is that a lot of those people will come to town and they'll talk to everyone with a microphone who might have some voters listening at the other end. As for the work on the small-town papers, most print journalists don't get recognition either unless they're significant bylined columnists, even on the major papers. I live in Chicago, a larger market. When I've looked for articles on the media people around here, I find the major TV anchors, but not the reporters. As for radio people, usually only the syndicated DJ's or million-dollar talk show hosts make it. Pretty much the way it is. I can't think of anything offhand that would convince a consensus of editors here to keep your article. Fan-1967 06:56, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Another edit edit

Check this one out ... all the information can be verified.

Unfortunately, I think it still comes down to "experienced radio news reporter," and, like "experienced newspaper staff reporter" I don't think it can make the grade. Just doesn't pass muster on Notable under our standards. Fan-1967 07:00, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

ps -- the only markets bigger than D/FW right now are Chicago, LA and New York. And, for some reason, people still consider us "the sticks" why is that? Is it a Texas thing? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Leslie Brown (talkcontribs) 07:06, 11 December 2006 (UTC).Reply

I think most people think the US has the 3 big cities, and then everything else. As for the local jocks, periodically someone starts finding a bunch of them and nominating groups of them for deletion, but someone has to get around to bothering. Fan-1967 07:09, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your day job edit

What is it? Love the piece on CBS Sunday Morning on Wikipedia ... about the intellectual geeks who volunteer time. So, are you a volunteer or is this your permanent gig?

It's totally a volunteer operation. To the best of my knowledge the only paid people would be those who keep the servers running. Fan-1967 15:02, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

You forget one thing, my friend edit

Three of the most popular shows internationally of all time:

Baywatch (blaggg) Dynasty (blaggggggg)

and .....

DALLAS (who shot JR???????)

Don't see any internationally famous shows that even come close to touching Dallas (nothing called "New York, New York" nothing called "Los Angeles" and no shows called "Chicago" ... though you guys have your own Broadway musical and movie, I will give you that" —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Leslie Brown (talkcontribs) 07:15, 11 December 2006 (UTC).Reply

And, one more thing edit

Bill Parcells may be one of the most obnoxious coaches in the history of obnoxious coaches ...

Jerry Jones may be one of the most obnoxious owners in the history of obnoxious owners ...

and

Terrell Owens is wearing a Dallas jersey ....

but ...

The Cowboys? America's team.

I mean, Emmitt Smith number 22 ... who wears THREE Cowboys superbowl rings, who not only beat out Walter Payton for the all time rushing record ... he also did a mean, mean mambo on Dancing with the Stars that took him all the way to number 1.

The Cowboys are the number 1 team of all time ... As I recall, LA doesn't even HAVE an NFL team, and I can't remember the last time the Chicago Bears did anything worth mentioning. As for the New Yorks teams, well ... they're pretty cool.

But, I leave you with this question ... Whatever happened to William "The Refrigerator" Perry and Jim McMahon since the 1988 superbowl ... Huh? Huh??? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Leslie Brown (talkcontribs) 07:22, 11 December 2006 (UTC).Reply

I work for the records department of the US military. we have confirmed that Mr. Rogers was a US Army sniper. Please replace the so called "vandilism" to his page. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.125.196.2 (talk) 15:18, 11 December 2006 (UTC).Reply

All Wikipedia content must be Verifiable from Reliable Sources. Personal testimony from an anonymous editor means nothing. Restoring the material without verifiable sources will be considered vandalism. Seriously, we've seen all this stuff before. Fan-1967 15:21, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

at least dont call it vandalism. And dont report it as such.

Since the claims of Fred Rogers' alleged military service have been repeatedly and consistently debunked for years, anyone who makes claims to the contrary without offering anything to support the claim must be regarded with extreme suspicion. Fan-1967 21:02, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
