Speedy deletion nomination of Syed Fazal Husain Shah edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Syed Fazal Husain Shah requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Vigyani (talk) 09:28, 13 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Molana Alvi Birotvi edit

Hello Atifsati,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Molana Alvi Birotvi for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

The article Mukhlis Birotvi, a poet of Birote, District Abbottabad has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. The article Abdurashid hadoti has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

As written, doesn't seem to pass Wikipedia:Notability (biographies) for scholars or writers: no coverage in mainstream sources, no significant impact shown.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The best I can immediately do is from wikimapia: [1]. I see no reason to think this or the other articles to be hoxes. There is nothing claimed that seems incredible or self-contradictory. Hoax is too strong a word for the situation. They are just in a tradition that is not accessible to us, for reasons of both language and unavailability of sources. The problem for us is, if we cannot verify some of this, how can we possibly include that articles? I think, Atifsati, you need to realize your audience here--we cannot put in what we cannot document and understand. If you know of published material in any language to which you can refer to in order to document the material, please add it as references. If it's non-English, as is likely, include in a footnote a translation of the title and the key phrases.
I would be delighted to learn about a tradition I do not yet know of, & to include this material, --and I am sure Piotr feels just the same. But we need something published to go on. DGG ( talk ) 09:16, 19 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Problems with your articles edit

I've reviewed a number of your articles, and I am afraid most of them quality for deletion due to failure to adhere to WP:V policy. The names you chose for your articles seem to be WP:OR, and the few sources you cite don't seem to exist or are failing WP:RS, raising concern that most of your work are WP:HOAXes. Several of your articles have been nominated for deletion, can you provide verifiable, reliable reference for them? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:30, 19 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

see above -- I see no evidence that they are hoaxes--there's a long way between "unverified" and "hoax". But even "unverified" is a reason why we cannot possibly keep them. DGG ( talk ) 09:18, 19 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Atif Khalid Sati. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you.
