September 2019 edit

Hello, I'm Sitush. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Kesarwani, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page.

  • Hi, sources from the 12th century are not considered reliable and it is for that reason I reverted your recent edit to Kesarwani. Sitush (talk) 09:09, 24 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Kesarwani, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Sitush (talk) 09:51, 24 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your addition to Kesarwani has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information.

  • You included a big copy/paste of copyrighted material from here. Please do not do this in future - you have to use your own words (and that website is not a reliable source anyway). Sitush (talk) 09:56, 24 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please be aware edit

You are still making poor changes at Kesarwani and elsewhere, eg: here. Please be aware of the following information. - Sitush (talk) 10:29, 24 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or a topic ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions/South Asian social groups.

Blocked edit

Hi. I understand that you're a new user, and mean well. Perhaps you're not aware of this page, your own "talkpage", where other editors can comment on your edits and post advice and warnings for you. You're supposed to engage in discussion with those editors, and show that you understand the problems. Since you have not replied to the above warnings, I have no choice but to block you for a while. If you respond constructively here about the sourcing and copyright violation concerns, I will unblock you. Bishonen | talk 16:17, 24 September 2019 (UTC).Reply

Blocked indefinitely edit

I see you resumed the same problematic kind of editing when your 60-hour block expired. So you have either still not found this page, or you preferred to wait out the block rather than communicate with anybody. If it's the second, it won't work in this place, I'm afraid; discussion and communication are basic principles of Wikipedia. I have now blocked you indefinitely. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
