Hi there, I'm a historian of Europe by training. My work mostly focuses on contemporary Europe, particularly post-communist Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), and on the politics of both CEE and the continent as a whole. My academic background is in Czech and Slovak politics in particular, and I began my editing time on Wikipedia with progressively larger edits to pages related to those countries' politics. I also have some academic and professional background in the Baltic states. I also have some training in Linguistics, particularly sociolinguistics and phonology.
