Now That's What I Call Music! 71 is the seventy-first volume of the Now That's What I Call Music! series in the United States. It was released on August 2, 2019,[1] alongside the Now That's What I Call Yacht Rock! spinoff,[2] and debuted at number thirty-nine on the Billboard 200 albums chart.[3]

Neil Yeung of AllMusic gave a review of the album, "As always, the collection features some of the biggest hits from the worlds of pop, hip-hop, electronic, and whatever else happens to be hot on the charts that season. Notable selections in this set include the Jonas Brothers' big comeback "Sucker"; breakthrough singles by Ava Max ("Sweet but Psycho"), Lizzo ("Juice"), and Billie Eilish ("bad guy"); and the record-breaking Hot 100 number one champion "Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X and special guest/country co-sign Billy Ray Cyrus. Frequent Now faces Ariana Grande, Post Malone, Katy Perry, and the Chainsmokers also appear."[4] As usual, the album also includes a "What's Next!" feature with mostly new and upcoming artists.[5]

The album features four number-one hits and five other top-ten hits. It was also the final one in the series to reach the top 40 of the Billboard 200, as well as the final one to spend at least three weeks on the same chart.[6]
