About Me edit

It's clear I cannot wait to add more information to my bio here, otherwise I'll miss out on the great opportunities involved in WikiAdoption, and I certainly don't want that!

Sadly, I don't have as much time today for adding info into here as I would like, though I also don't want to leave this page to dry, as I have been prompted to leave some more information about myself that could help me find a potential adopter, and I agree it's the right thing to do ;)

That being said, what I think I will do for now, is leave a little bit of information about my experiences on wikipedia, and some information about what I'm knowledgeable in and interested in pursuing here on wikipedia.

My Experience On Wikipedia: I actually joined as a contributing member around 3 years ago, though sadly I cannot remember the user name or password I used, which is why I created a new profile. Plus, I spent a lot of time getting upset at things that weren't really that important, and I'm happy to have a fresh start. I certainly learned some hard and honestly unexpected lessons about collaborating here on wikipedia, though I'm glad it happened, because I spent several months getting to know the pillars, precedents and principals of being a good contributor here.

Now, that being said, I only spent about 8 months contributing at the time, before things go busy for me professionally, though I always felt the pull to come back and grow as a wikipedia collaborator. I really love the idea of being a part of a significant group of people who really make a difference in the world, for few other reasons than just because they love to do so, and I would love some guidance in that pursuit.

What I'm Knowledgeable In: As you can see by a few of my tags, I'm a rather esoteric person by nature and I love all things mystical, magickal and philosophical. That being said, I'm not as interested in "religion" per say, as I am in the metaphysical and nondenominational aspects of it all. I'm sort of a middle ground person. I believe in and practice magick, though I also spend plenty of time in hot pursuit of empirical evidence of it all, which highlights my own slight eccentricity, lol.

What isn't shown by my tags, is my professional experience, which is as a Business Coach and NLP Practitioner. Quackery or not, I'm damn good at it and I have no intentions of changing career paths any time soon, as I have the pleasure of helping many to get their lives back into balance and onto the path of success. And while I have not seen any specific "coaching" or business wikiprojects, I would totally be up for joining one or several when I find them (or someone points them out to me).

To go in another completely random direction, I also love to study Quantum Psychics and various odd-ball sciences like the String Theory and "God Particles". I am by no means an "expert" in any of these topics, though I spend an unsightly amount of time reading about them purely for pleasure.

I also enjoy ancient and neo-alternative practices, which I've actually learned to avoid here on wikipedia, since there are waaaaaay too many aggressive nay-sayers who refuse to allow any real evidence or information to be displayed unless it shows the subject in an unfavorable light. That being said, if my future adoptee has experience in learning how to compromise with some of those bears and dragons, it would definitely pique my interest. I am very knowledgeable in topics such as: Chakra Balancing, Meditation, Herbal Remedies, Alternative Remedies (non-herbal), Divination, the Law of Abundance, Quantum Intelligence, MMS, Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Empathic Healing. Also, I feel it's important at this point to say, that while I love these subjects, I am neither a blind sheep who follows these paths with no sense of what I'm following, by which I mean to say that I see positive and negative aspects to everything and I simply feel that having all information is where it's worth knowing these topics. You never know what might come in handy one day ;)

I am also an experienced internet marketer, digital artist, freelancer, entrepreneur, parent, spouse and avid Mycophiliac (mushroom lover). I love both trendy and obscure topics, and am usually up for working on just about anything. I do and have done many things, which have taken me a lot of places and taught me a lot of hard lessons. I would love to use any of this experience to help contribute to wikipedia in any way that I can.

Projects Topics I'd Love to Be a Part of:

  • Business and Commerce
  • Tarot and Divination
  • History and Mythology
  • Nature and Earth Topics
  • Politics and Current News
  • Technology and Innovation
  • Metaphyics and New Sciences
  • Marketing and Social Networking
  • Alternative Medicine and Natural Health

How I Could Be Useful:

  • Editing, Revisions and Clean Up
  • Impartial Insight (for NPOV Disputes)
  • Finding Sources for Missing Citations
  • Starting New Topics and Helping Expand Other New Topics

And who knows what else! lol

For now, I'm going to leave my bio as is, with the hopes that there is enough information here for my fellow wikipedians (thats you!), to want to get to know me better. Please feel free to leave any questions or requests for details on my talk page.

Yours Truly,

~EpicWitch
