Elise Trent (1987) is a public relations graduate student from Great Falls, Virginia.

Life & Career edit

After graduating from Langley High School in McLean, Virginia, Trent began her undergraduate studies at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. As an undergraduate, Trent majored in communications studies with a focus in social influence. Outside of the classroom, she was involved in Slope Media[1], the only-student run media group at Cornell University. Involved for all four years of her undergraduate studies, Trent held both the positions of Director of Marketing and Vice President of Human Resources. She was also an integral part of Sports Marketing Group, which promotes Cornell University sporting events, and the Class of 2010 Student Council.

While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Trent held three different internship positions. The summer after her freshman year, she worked as a legal intern at Preston and Preston, LLC, in Great Falls, Virginia. In this position, she assisted lawyers with brief writing, case examinations, and client relations. The following summer, in 2008, she interned at [2]. The focus of her work was to enhance cross-company relations at the [3] in Washington, D.C. During the conference, Trent assisted minutes traders in company meetings and contacted companies about beginning new business relations. In 2009, Trent was a digital strategies intern at [4]. Working with the digital strategies team, Trent worked to reconfigure the non-profit's website, increase their digital presence, and create social media pages. Trent also worked with the online fundraising team to create campaigns targeted at potential donors via digital-based sources such as internet banners, webpages, and emails.

Currently, Trent is pursuing her Master's in Public Relations from Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York.
