Rename edit

From what I can tell, most uses of the term in literature includes a dash, eg. "virus-like particles". I suggest the article be renamed to include the dash, if others agree. --Interiot 19:48, 23 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I agree wholeheartedly. So why hasn't this been done in the intervening nine months? Maybe we should just nominate it for deletion instead if nobody cares. Gene Nygaard 22:43, 9 November 2007 (UTC)Reply
It's not because nobody edits it that nobody cares (most people just read and don't edit). For my study I needed to find out more about virus like particles so I'm glad that this article is here.

Supposedly, surrogate virus (as used in an EurekAlart [article is a synonym for VLP. Please correct if not. If it's true, please add to Surrogate disambiguation. Thanks.--Ernsts (talk) 12:14, 7 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

VLP vaccines against influenza in late-stage development edit

NVAX and other companies have VLP influenza vaccine development well underway. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.105.0.223 (talk) 21:27, 26 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proteinsciences does not develop a VLP vaccine, just an insect cell produced HA vaccine. However, Medicago Inc. produces a influenza VLP vaccine in plants which is in clinical trials. Dave Windorf (talk) 13:57, 21 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Other use edit

Found a supposedly other use of the term 'virus-like particle' on EurekAlert at Scientists from St. Petersburg University discovered the virus-like particles in Bryozoa (2021-01-08). Those are naturally, unidetified maybe-viruses. Please check if a disambiguation or hint might be necessary. Kind regards. --Ernsts (talk) 19:39, 7 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
