spelling of article and place name edit

The longstanding official and widely recognized name for this location is "Plumb Beach," therefore that spelling should be retained, even if it possibly originated from a historic misspelling. LL 68.70.191.152 (talk) 10:33, 23 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

I agree. The USGS gives the name as Plumb, as does the NYC DCP Neighborhood map [1]. I've moved the page to Plumb Beach to reflect the name. I also edited the title to make it clear that "Plum" is a variant spelling, not a misspelling. Fitnr (talk) 00:00, 30 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
