eric prydz cymbal drop sample

edit

Hello, How will I be able to add the information that several times in this song, a cymbal that Eric Prydz has often times used, such as in Woz not Woz appears throughout this song several times, two of the instances are best heard during the bridge. The same sample was used in Red Lights by Tiesto. To see what I'm refering to, youtube Eric Prydz and Steve Angello Woz NOt Woz, it's the video that is seven minutes and thirty-one seconds (07:31) The cymbal sample that is used is taken from the end of the song, just as Tiesto did. To source that it is Prydz's cymbal, check out any of his other songs from 2002 all the way up to today, and you will hear that this exact same sample is used. examples include Slammin', Pjanoo, Call on me, his remix of Steve Angello's voices, and many more of his tracks post 2002. For even more instances that prove that this is spacifically Eric Prydz's cymbal, check out stuff under his Pryda name. He doesn't use it under his other names, but under his real name and Pryda, he uses it quite a bit, even to this day he has used it. So how do i include the credit to this sonud that has become a signature of Eric prydz much more than that Pryda Snair? (PS, talk to me on my talkpage for a further discussion on sampling in pop and EDM, producer Andrew Sarkeesian and I have done long-length discussions on how things are done and have searched through many songs to detect these uses.) This is varifyable if you follow my instructions. If you don't tha nthat's your fault. Thanks, and Glory man United!

Eric Ramus — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.195.166.103 (talk) 22:17, 4 September 2015 (UTC) PS for those curious minds Andrew Sarkeesian is not related to Anita Sarkeesian. Yes i have a friend related to her but neither are related to Andrew. It's the John Smith syndrome, emphasis on the smith.Reply

edit
  • Needs alt.
  •   Done
  • You should remove the music video from here since it's on the external links already.´
  •   Done
  • I wonder how much do you need the alternative single cover. The version only peaked in France and was lower than the original version.
  • The alternative cover illustrates a completely different artist in the artwork. This version has also received several live performances and entered the record charts, attaching to a major commercial release of the song. It's necessary. The sales of French version was later combined to the sales of original one by SNEP.

Lead

edit
  • "is a song by" → is a song recorded by...
  •   Done
  • "from her" → for her
  •   Done
  • "The song was produced by Falk, Yacoub, Ilya, Tuinfort, and Kotecha." → The song was produced by the latter four along with Ilya.
  •   Done
  • "Lyrically, the song talks about reuniting one last time with a former lover, even though he has already moved on and has found her replacement" → re-word this
  •   Done
  • Remove
  • "the song shows" → the track shows
  •   Done
  • On the second paragraph you could mention two certifications of the song.
  •   Done

Background and release

edit
  • "One Last Time" was written by the songwriting team Savan Kotecha, Rami Yacoub and Carl Falk, → need wikilink for their songwriting team or a link to support the claim.
That was not what I meant, you could also have used the liner notes. You claim that Kotecha, Yacoub, Falk worked for this song as a team, what's the name of their composition team or show me source claiming that.
They didn't work for this song as a team...

  • 'Break Free' and 'Love Me Harder' → between " "
  • What do you mean?

'Break Free' → "Break Free" the same for love me harder.

  •   Done
  • as the album's second promotional single → I need a link fort he first one.
  •   Done
  • being serviced to rhythmic crossover and contemporary hit radio stations on February 10, 2015. → where in the US? Second link on the end of the sentence is dead.
  •   Done: I add the archived source.
  • The song was also released in French as a duet with French singer Kendji Girac, winner of the third season of "The Voice: la plus belle voix". The version titled "Attends-moi" (Wait for Me) was released in Belgium, France and Switzerland on February 16, 2015. → It doesn't say Switzerland or Belgium....
  •   Done: I add two source for release in Switzerland and Belgium.
  • On May 26, 2015, → shouldn't it be may 28?
  •   Done: According to iTunes Store, the Italian version was released on May 26, 2015.

Composition

edit
  • The description of the sample is quite big, try to reduce the length of it.
  •   Done
  • pummeling drums and a three-note synth line → between ""
  •   Done
  • Audiokeychanin is not reliable anyone can edit the information. User music notes instead or any other.
  •   Done: Removed
  • A♭3 to C6 → link them.
  •   Done
  • Fifteen is dead link. Nevertheless, the sentence is quite informal "Lyrically, the song is about asking a former lover to spend one last time with you, although he has already moved on and is with someone new". Since the link is dead I can't verify the information.
  •   Done: I add the archived source.

Critical reception

edit
  • Outstanding work. Could you find 2 or three more reviews of only the song, what I mean is, not an album track review?
  •   Done
  • In the second paragraph you have "Mikael Wood of Los Angeles Times", you always use of, try to do something like "Los Angeles Times' Mikael Wood" or "Mikael Wood, while reviewing the album for 'Los Angeles Times'". Do this for three of the reviews pn the second paragraph.
  •   Done
  • Digital Spy is non italic, same for AXS, allmusic and it should be AllMusic.
  •   Not done
you must do the same for the references using "noitalic" parameter.
  •   Done

Commercial performance

edit
  • It later climbed to numbers 30,22 and 18, becoming Grande's fifth consecutive top-twenty single from the same album and sixth overall. → You really don't need all the peaks of the song, remove one or two.
  •   Done
  • becoming Grande's first radio promoted song from My Everything to not enter the top ten. → the source doesn't support the claim
  •   Done: add another source
  • You should expand this section. More two or three countries and some certifications along.
  •   Done

Music video

edit
  • For stares this section is away to be big when comparing to the rest of the article, needs to be reduced.

Background

edit
  • "Grande came up with the idea of the music video and contacted director Max Landis, known for his 2012 film Chronicle". → source doesn't back up this. However the following source does backup this. You should be able to merge both sentences.
  •   Done
  • different". I’m very nervous about it because it’s so unique and weird and I feel like brave and different, but it’s exciting.” → different. I’m very nervous about it because it’s so unique and weird and I feel like brave and different, but it’s exciting".
  •   Done
  • ..last...time,". → ..last...time".
  •   Done
  • at the same time it was announced that the music video was finished → not on the source
  •   Done: add source
  • similar to Landis' previous work Chronicle. → not on source
  •   Done
  • was released on February 15, 2015. → where youtube, mtv, other website? exclusive of a website?
  •   Done: on Vevo

Synopsis

edit
  • "implied to be Los Angeles, California". → you need to find a source supporting that
  •   Done
  • "As the two of them try to leave, he tries to stop them," → As the former two of them try to leave, the latter tries to stop them,
  •   Done
  • Need source for most of it. You already have some in the previous section and the section below so use that.
  •   Done

The source you used is lacking some info, but it's quite good. Also add this one: [1] and [2]

Reception and plagiarism allegations

edit
  • Most of the links have author and date, you don't mention them. The rest is fine.
  •   Done

Live performances

edit
  • She performed the song → She sung...
  •   Done

Track listing

edit
  • It's good, however you could use a "tracklist" format table.
  •   Done

Charts

edit
  • French version featuring Kendji Girac, should be in a separate table.
  •   Done
  • Needs to have the same width as the other
  •   Not done
  • What?

Year-end charts

edit
  • Avoid shouting in the titles. Look at the Italian and Netherlands.
  •   Done

Release history

edit
  • Everything is fine, I would only advise you to archive or just look for them in an archive website such as wayback machine in order to preserve them.
  •   Done
  • Do you think it's worth to have two links for the same release?
  •   Done

Overall GA Review

edit
  • Hold your comments and issues to be addressed until the end of the review.
  • I need a personal section with producers, writers, engineers, mixing....
  • I have expanded the "Background and release" section.

I didn't meant that, I mean something like this here

  • You have four dead links, amend that.
  • I have fixed three of them. What is the fourth one?

It is on the certifications and sales section. Please wait until I finish this review. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 15:30, 17 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

  • Every link in this section is fine, actually.

Ref #115, it's not. See for yourself.

@U990467: you can now address all the issues I have raised. Good luck! Ping me when you are done. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 19:21, 17 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
@U990467: I believe it shows grand improvement and it's almost there. Take a look at what I have raised as "not done" some things you forgot, others I just added. Thank you, it's almost there. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 14:35, 19 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
