I noticed in the music video that even though the fire thing looks realistic, they omitted the reflection at the very last shot (where the van comes to the camera at the right side of the screen but at the left side we have some smoke rising form the city)

Do you think it was just a mistake? Cause I think it is there to signify something

i dont know. i thought the lyrics were poorly written and the music video was weak and dumb.

What's with the tracklist at the bottom of the page? That makes no sense.

What is wrong with people nowadays ?

Why people critize about the use of double superlatives ? Dont they know that there's no fucking rules in rock music ? That is so stupid that it makes me almost cry -Kornholic

First up, the problem with double superlatives is that they're grammatically incorrect, it's a plain and simple truth. Second up, rock music does have rules, if it didn't, then every song in the world would be rock, because there'd be no criteria to determine what is and isn't rock. Third up, double superlatives are okay in this case, because it's very obviously intentional, and almost qualifies as black comedy in my opinion. Fourth up, it's not stupid to point out a somehwat amusing and memorable point in the lyrics. 122.105.128.147 (talk) 00:33, 8 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Merge proposal

edit

I was editing the SOAD discography, in the section singles, and noticed that "Lonely Day" is a maxi-single (A maxi single or maxi-single is a music single release with more than the usual two tracks (generally an a-side song and a b-side song).) for its chart positions. Allmusic is the only reliable source that classifies "Lonely Day" as an EP. I should remember that the current page "Lonely Day", shows only the promo version, which is not notable. Brother died in a fire

edit

As far as I have read, Daron Malakian is an only child. I have read books and interviews and there was never any mention of him having a brother dying in a fire. If you add that, cite a source. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Preservedmoose (talkcontribs) 23:38, 28 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Grammar

edit

I think someone accidentally a grammar in that last portion describing the vocal harmonies.

Genre Request

edit

I propose we remove "heavy metal" from the genre list. System Of A Down is a heavy metal band, but I don't think this song qualifies for "heavy metal".

I think we should leave the genre as "heavy metal". When you compare "Lonely Day " to a song like "The Unforgiven II" by Metallica, you will see it is a heavy metal song. The Ride (talk) 18:49, 30 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Progressive rock? haha

edit

this is a pop song — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.172.113.46 (talk) 20:37, 23 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

No it is not. It's a softer song, but it's still within the realm of metal. It's definitively Alternative/Progressive Rock/Metal, or at least a Heavy Metal Ballad. 139.228.110.120 (talk) 09:47, 15 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
